It will be on May 9th, from 11am to 4pm. Jamnesty is a festival-like, family-friendly day at Lake Massapoag in Sharon, with live-music at the band-stand provided by SHS students and teachers. There will be a BBQ, soda, chips, candy, popcorn, baked goods and more. In addition, there will be games with prizes, arts and crafts activities such as Henna Tattoos and Holi, and some games such as Volleyball and Frisbee, all sold/run by either Amnesty International or by other clubs at Sharon High School (ASL Club, Softball Team, FLNHS, Class of 2018, GSA, etc.) The whole day is run by SHS students with the gracious help of some SHS teachers.
This year, the money raised will be going to the United Nations Refugee Agency’s campaign to help families from Mali who have been displaced by the current fighting there. It will be an exciting day of music, fun, and change! As previously said, there will be games with prizes, and an Angel's Cafe Gift Card will be one the prizes! See you there!
